Re: tribing from...
Mon, October 15, 2007 - 7:52 AMDamn. 2 days and already this thing is as irritating as sand in my sheets.
I'm also paranoid I'm going to lose it. Great, one more expensive thing to be worried about. -

Re: tribing from...
Tue, October 16, 2007 - 1:06 PMWell, for one thing, who trusts Telecoms? But you basically lay down with one when you sign that contract. You sign it basically knowing that you're going to get shafted, hoping that when the pain comes it's not too awful.
For another, internets on your phone is like 1994, only you know what it has the potential to become so you're that much more annoyed by... (remember that phrase?)... the World Wide Wait.
And, my Sim card just popped out of its little holder. I had to open up my expensive assed phone and discover that the cheapo locking mechanism that holds it in place is busted.
Oh yeah, and the guy who sold it to me charged me $50 more than suggested retail price. But I asked for it because I walked in there like a big spender. I'm learning never to do that.
Life was simpler when your phone was at your home, and if you weren't there when it rang, you never knew they called. Only the very rich and doctors had an 'answering service'.

Re: tribing from...
Fri, November 9, 2007 - 2:19 PMLife is a lot easier with it, I have to say. Other than having an immediately positive effect on my social life, I'm a lot more efficient.
The other day I had to find a drug store in an unfamiliar neighborhood, and I was all bee-bee-bo-boop, "ah, there's one two blocks west and one street over".
Or I was wondering where's that wholesale store somebody sent me on gmail... beep-beep-beep... oh there it is.
Now if only I could use it to find drugs in an unfamiliar neighborhood, why, *then* it would be cool.
